ABOUT STEWART REAL ESTATE SERVICES, LLC
Stewart Real Estate Services, LLC formerly Stewart & Associates was founded in the Summer of 1987 by John O. Stewart as a computer consulting entity. Initial clients were small businesses and indivduals who wanted their records to be automated to a computerized format. John’s extensive expertise as a “Land Man” resulted in numerous requests from clients for help on projects pertaining to Land. These requests became so numerous that John decided to sell the computer consulting portion of the buinesss in the Fall of 1991 and concentrate on issues pertaining to land.
John obtained his real estate license in the Fall of 1994 and worked as a realtor for Wardley Better Homes and Gardens at the Alta View office in Sandy. A year later, he moved to the Union Park office in Midvale. While he was at the Union Park office, Wardley Better Homes and Gardens was purchased by Wardley GMAC. Shortly thereafter, Wardley GMAC was merged with two other companies to form a Coldwell Banker franchise. The Union Park office was then closed by Coldwell Banker and moved to a new office, “Cottonwood” in Sandy.
John obtained his broker license in November of 2003 and left Coldwell Banker to start a new real estate brokerage, Stewart Real Estate Services. The Utah Division of Corporations would not allow, “Stewart & Associates” to be used as a name for a real estate brokerage. Stewart Real Estate Services was changed to Stewart Real Estate Services, LLC in December of 2008 as a result of changing from a DBA to a LLC.
Stewart Real Estate Services, LLC is a full service brokerage, licensed to provide real estate services throughout the State of Utah, but concentrates mainly in Salt Lake, Utah and Sanpete counties. The number of real estate agents working for the company ranges from 2 to 5. Agents working for Stewart Real Estate Services, LLC must provide their own office, which is usually a home office.
